Ranges by position are relative to your distance from the BTN always and not how close you are to the BB. If you’re playing 5 handed, what you might normally consider UTG (first to act) is realistically HJ and that should be your opening range. This should be your only realistic adjustment unless you’re playing heads up which is an entirely different animal.
