Man arrested after shooting at Hard Rock Hotel and Casino’s golf course in Catoosa

Authorities arrested an Arkansas man who they said fired shots at the Hard Rock Hotel and Casino’s golf course and vehicles in the casino’s parking lot.Around 9:30 a.m. Saturday, a 35-year-old Arkansas man arrived at the Hard Rock Hotel and Casino in Catoosa in a Tesla. Police said the man went to a charging station, removed a rifle and started shooting at the golf course and vehicles in the parking lot.Catoosa police said no one was injured, and one casino vehicle suffered significant damage.Law enforcement responded to the hotel after receiving reports that shots had been fired. Police said officers had an armed confrontation with the man before he eventually surrendered.Catoosa police said the suspect had cocaine and hallucinogenic drugs in his possession. They also said he appeared to be under the influence.Police also found an additional rifle and two handguns as well as a “great deal” of ammunition and magazines, Catoosa police said.Authorities identified the suspect as David Temple.
