JOPLIN, Mo. – Have you ever heard of playing poker underwater?
It might sound like a bit of a gamble, but it turned out to be a good time for some 4-State poker pros who stopped by Calypso Scuba in Joplin on Saturday.
Players took part in a submerged Texas hold ’em game using waterproof cards.
Winners took home prizes from Calypso Scuba, and the rounds lasted about fifteen minutes.
The event even concluded with a chili feed so it looks like everyone turned out to be a winner.
Money from the event’s entry fees went to support local firefighters.
