Starting tomorrow (February 27) at 9am PT, the community of Sinespace (a media partner to this blog) are unveiling Discovery Island with a grand opening festival. Hosted by Mimi Marie, it’s a weekend of fun events (schedule below) featuring many of the best creators and designers working on the platform.
To join the festivities, simply launch Sinespace, search Discovery Island in Explore, and teleport to the action.
Mimi tells me she plans to host regular events on the island:
“The main purpose of Discovery will be to have a place off the main Welcome Center directly to Discovery for new members to learn how to dress/dance/create/meet/socialize in a comfortable atmosphere while having fun.”
That includes a new Texas Hold ‘Em poker table recently created by Hinkley Engineering. While the poker chips aren’t real virtual currency, players will still get to play for winnings: “I will be offering gold prizes to winners as we start creating more game table events,” says Mimi.
