Circa hotel-casino makes changes ahead of NYE celebrations

LAS VEGAS (KTNV) — Just before New Years Eve, Circa hotel-casino in downtown will open its hotel tower and rooftop lounge.

Today we’re getting a sneak peek.

13 Action News Anchor Marissa Kynaston went downtown to find out more.

Circa already changed the landscape of downtown and next week, it will officially open its hotel tower.

This includes over 500 rooms and suites as well as a rooftop lounge.

Its the tallest tower north of the Las Vegas Strip, so the rooms and lounge will have views of the Las Vegas valley.

The opening of the tower comes as many traditional New Years events have been canceled across the valley because of the coronavirus pandemic.

But Circa owner Derek Stevens has been optimistic.

At the casino’s grand opening weeks ago, he said one of the most exciting parts about opening a new venue is helping people get back to work.

“This project is clearly my largest project that my brother and I have been involved with, and I think it’s even more special with what’s happening in 2020 because we’re in a community that needs jobs and when I had the opportunity to meet some of the different divisions, our table divisions, slot division, bartenders, its amazing to see how much emotion is coming out when they can get back to work,” said Stevens.

We checked the website this morning and rooms start at about $300 a night.

But there’s a deal for guests who book a room on opening day, The hotel is offering two complimentary nights for the “world’s earliest check-in” beginning the day after Christmas.
