I’ve never really played much VP at all—and if I had, I had pretty much no strategy.
So far, it seems like the only type of trainer I am finding uses Optimal Strategy (particularly on the Wiz of Odds website); however, I want to learn the basics of the strategy first before diving into Optimal as the hierarchy seems pretty daunting.
