Akshay Gupta And Ashish Nailwal Wind Asian Poker Tour Day-1

The Asian Poker Tour is finally underway on PokerBaazi. The APT is back to the Indian poker felts, with a series worth 8 Crores+ guaranteed across 48 tournaments. The series kicked-off yesterday, on 15th January and here we are with the daily round-up of the winners from the first night of the Asian Poker Tour!

APT#1 Kickoff 10 Lakhs GTD

First event of the series was the Kick-Off 10 Lakhs GTD. For a buy-in of INR 2,200, the tournament received a total of 621 entries (340 entries+281 re-entries) creating a prize pool of INR 12,42,000. This resulted in 72 places being paid and a min. cash of INR 3,850! Ashish ‘Notoriouskonvict’ Nailwal shipped the event after beating Ashish ‘Imgabru’ Kumar in the final heads-up.  In the final hand, ‘Imgabru’ shoved light with Q-3 off suit and got called by K-9. ‘Notoriouskonvict’ took down the first event of the APT 2021 for a payout of INR 2,34,738!

 APT#2 Turbo 7 Lakhs GTD

Next up was the Turbo 7 Lakhs GTD for a buy-in of INR 1,650. The tournament received a total of 540 entries (279 entries+261 re-entries) creating a prize pool of INR 8,10,000! This resulted in 63 places being paid with a min. cash of INR 2,997. Akshay ‘darulerofall’ Gupta shipped the event after beating Niraj ‘ooltus’ Yadav in the final heads-up battle. It was a very short heads-up match between the two. ‘Ooltus’ shoved J-3 off and got called by the mighty A-K of ‘darulerofall’. Akshay ‘darulerofall’ Gupta earned himself a payout of INR 1,57,383! Niraj Yadav earned himself a payout of INR 1,10,322 for second place.

APT#3 Mini Main Event Day 1A 50 Lakhs GTD

The Mini Main Event Day1A was the main attraction of the first day of the Asian Poker Tour. The featured tournament of the day received a total of 337 entries at a buy-in of INR 5,500! A total of 46 survivors were able to make it to level 27 and earned their places in the Day2 of the Mini Main Event! Nikhil ‘blastupinside’ Arora took the chip lead from Day1A into Day2 of the Mini Main Event with a stack of 3.17L chips, followed by Siddharth ‘schemer’ Karia who finished second in chips with a stack of 2.56L chips.

APT#4 5PLO 3 Lakhs GTD

The penultimate event of day 1 of the Asian Poker Tour was the INR 1,375 buy-in 3 Lakhs GTD 5PLO event. The tournament received a total of 404 entries (158 entries+246 re-entries) creating a prize pool of 5,05,000, 45 paid places and a min. cash of INR 2,828! Vivek ‘Vivek25’ Dubey shipped the PLO event after beating ‘dilbaghsingh’ in the final heads-up. ‘Vivek25’ was ahead 5:1, ‘dilbaghsingh’ shaved it down impressively to a 2:1 gap, however it still wasn’t enough. ‘Vivek25’ held on and shipped it with a 7♥ A♦ 3♠ 5♣ J♦ straight against 6♣ A♥ K♥ 8♣ Q♠ on a board 7♣ 6♦ J♠ 4♣ 9♠.  Vivek Dubey earned himself a payout of INR 1,06,050 for shipping the event, while ‘dilbaghsingh’ received INR 74,235 for second place.

APT#5 (4Max) Hyper 5 Lakhs GTD

The final event of Day 1 was the Hyper 5 Lakhs GTD event for a buy-in of INR 1,100. The tournament received a total of 501 entries, creating a total prize pool of INR 5,01,000! With 63 places paid and a min. cash of INR 1,853, Aditya ‘adit11’ Kulkarni beat Taliawagang ‘Meverick’ Jamir in the final heads-up to ship the event. On the first heads up hand it was all in with ‘adit11’ 5♦5♣ full house over ‘Meverick’ A♦ 6♠ straight on a final board 8♣ 7♥ 5♥ 8♦ 4♠. Aditya Kulkarni earned himself a payout of INR 97,344 for shipping the event while Taliawagang Jamir earned a payout of INR 68,236 for second place.
